Beaumont Water Treatment Plant – Beaumont,Texas City Offices
Water treatment facilities consist of a surface water treatment plant and a well system including pumping and transfer facilities to provide safe drinking water of adequate quantities and sufficient pressure while meeting all state and federal regulations. The Surface Water Treatment Plant after the recent renovations is rated at 40 million gallons per day. The ground water system is a 17 MGD facility consisting of three deep wells, four booster pumps and two 5 MG ground storage tanks. The City has six elevated water storage tanks with 6.8 MG of storage capacity, four ground water storage tanks with 17.7 MG of storage capacity, for a total of 24.5 MG of storage capacity. The Water Treatment Facilities are fully operable using SCADA controls that will automatically shut down the water discharge to the customers in case of water quality discrepancies.
